Home> The "Veï Lou Quéri" residence

Our house is the former home and practice of a veterinary surgeon. It is more than 150 years old, was thoroughly rebuilt by the former owners in 1967 and in 2002/2003 was refurbished to meet our own needs. 
The adjoining small farm house is even older.
It was love at first sight when we saw the property for the first time in 2001.

The show piece of our house is the façade with the old vine which is in perfect harmony with the shutters and red bricks around the windows. The court yard and enclosed orchard also have a special aura about them.
The property stands on 3500 m2. of grounds.

The garden is like a park and has a beautiful view over the Creuse hills and our own paddock with chickens and goats. It has a pond, some flower beds and a variety of very old trees.

In spring our fruit trees (apple, pear, plum, walnut, chestnut and cherry) are an explosion of blossom. In summer and autumn they provide us with loads of fruit. In the middle of summer the two enormous lime trees ensure plenty of shade. The scent of their blossom permeates the whole area and provides honey for thousands of small bees. 

Indoors you will sense a special charm. Each room is designed and decorated differently and has its own story.
We love travelling and you will notice this inside as well. We look forward to telling you all about it.
