Do you prefer to tour by car or motorbike? Hundreds of small quiet roads and many sights are waiting for you.

We have identified three routes in the Creuse, with ‘La Petite Creuse', ‘La Creuse' and ‘le Pays des 3 Lacs' as destinations. These routes not only guide you along the two rivers and three lakes, but also through picturesque villages, past castles, churches and other historical and religious heritage, cultural and natural sights.

There are also routes dedicated to the Aubusson tapestry and Crozant impressionist painters.

The south of the Indre department nearby is also called the land of George Sand and of course routes have been named after her.

‘George Sand et le Romantisme' (George Sand and Romanticism) and ‘les Paysages Romanesque' (the Romanesque Landscapes). These two routes reflect very well why she loved the area so much.

You will not only explore the countryside, but they also take you through villages, gardens, mills, gardens, museums, castles, manor houses and other sights that played a big role in her books.

We keep extensive itineraries of these and other routes for you. More itineraries are to be seen here.
